Your mom sounds remarkable. What a horrible man! Once years ago an old man came into the store where I was working, looked at me with venom and said, "You're getting old." I was in my fifties at the time. I never saw him again and he had been a frequent shopper with us, so I'm betting he died of some horrible disease.
