Your article reminds me of King Solomon’s words in Ecclesiastes. “Smoke, nothing but smoke. There’s nothing to anything, it’s all smoke. What’s to show for a lifetime of work, a lifetime of working your fingers to the bone? One generation goes its way, the next one arrives, but nothing changes; it’s business as usual for old planet earth.”

So there truly is “nothing new under the sun.”

Solomon does conclude his long lament on the futility of human effort by saying, “Eventually God will bring everything that we do out into the open and judge it according to its hidden intent, whether its good or evil.”
