You sound like a wise and wonderful daughter. I did end up moving my mother in with me although she didn't want to leave her home after she developed dementia. Round the clock caregivers would have cost $240 a day, and she lived too far away for any of her children to oversee them.

I told her she was just visiting me until she got well, then I would take her home, and ultimately in a lucid moment she made the decision to stay with me.
