You make great points Tony, and I agree. I just read the article recently about knife violence and overall violence in London. Violence has been in the hearts of people from the beginning of time, and it can’t be decreased without transforming the heart of a person bent on violence. I’m so discouraged by the alienation young people feel; a real discontent that seems to render them devoid of empathy. What makes them this way? Is it constantly medicating them rather than teaching them how to confront emotional issues through faith or love? Is it peer pressure, or a society that focus so much on shallow pursuits? Is it because blessings that reduce our need to be always focused on necessities like obtaining food and shelter have left us with too much time to focus on the superficial? I don’t know. People more knowledgeable than me may have better answers to the pressing issues we face.
