You have a wonderful spirit, Lu. It's so sad that your mother turned down the opportunity to meet her son, but maybe she felt guilty or remorseful over her decision and it haunted her. It's great that the two of you have established a loving relationship.

My daughter has 3 adopted children along with her two biological ones, and one of the adopted children has been on the internet contacting his birth mother. It's sad, though, because the mother is a drug addict who will lure him into that lifestyle, and the father is dangerous and violent. But all children want to connect with their biological families.
