You ask some interesting questions, Lizi. But I hope you know that if the Supreme Court knocks down Roe v. Wade their ruling won't make abortion illegal. It will be up to the states, and people in those states will elect the representatives who most closely represent their beliefs.
Some clinics in pro-choice states are already gearing up for an expansion to accommodate more people seeking abortions from more restrictive states. And some businesses have offered to pay for transportation for these women.
Roe v Wade has always been contentious. It has never settled anything and the abortion war has raged. People on both sides refuse to seek a middle ground. Democrat extremists want abortions through nine months and paid for by taxes, and Republican extremists want no abortion at all, even for rape, incest, the mother's life, and restrictions extending even to birth control.
