Yes, these new changes resulted in read time crashing to nothing. They must be counting the glance at those first two paragraphs as read time, whether anybody clicks on the "read more" or not. Some people probably even think they've seen the entire article if they don't pay attention to that tiny "read more." They have done away with a few "fun" incentives, too, like top writer status and notices about curation. Plus, as far as I can tell, far fewer articles are being curated.
