My daughter was extremely jealous of her baby brother when he came along, to a degree that exceeded the norm, because she had been the center of everything for 3 years and now had to share that attention. Fortunately they now get along as adults. She had had numerous foster kids, too. She has been heartbroken at having to let some of them go, and she had adopted 3 of them.
