I didn’t notice David was gone right away, probably because I was traveling during the month of August when all this went down. But last week, I decided to read one of David’s articles. He writes cartoon adventures, and I was curious to see what exploits he and his characters had been up to.

Imagine my surprise when I couldn’t find him. WTF? A couple of David Perlmutters popped up, but they weren’t the David I knew.

I tried another detective route by searching for Perlmutter under tags, and that’s when I started down the rabbit trail.

Did I ever tell you I have an insatiable curiosity? Follow every lead until you get some information, is my modus operandi. But it’s probably yours, too, if you’re a writer.

Following the tags, I ran across a recent article by Nikolaos Skordilis. He confirmed that David was, indeed, gone. But I still didn’t know the rest of the story, so I read the comments. And that’s when I discovered that David had said something…
