When my daughter in law had a baby and I went to help, I walked the crying infant all night so my son and his wife could sleep. She was breast feeding, no bottles. But the baby cried incessantly and I noticed his diaper was dry. I told my son the baby was hungry and wasn’t getting enough milk, but hesitated to say too much, being the mother -in-law. However, when they took him to the pediatrician the doctor was concerned, they gave baby a bottle and the infant literally guzzled it down. They ended up bottle feeding him. I can’t imagine the holier than thou Gestapo tactics used by your breast feeding advocates.
