When I was traveling in Finland last year one the Finnish made a point of telling me they weren’t a socialist country. They are a market bases economy with a broad safety net. The Scandinavian countries that we are referring to as socialist don’t consider themselves to be. So what do we mean when we talk about socialism if those countries don’t claim that designation?
