Well written article, and your children sound very successful. I'm sure you're proud of them! I wonder why they're so averse to your retirement. I guess it depends a lot on income, but if that's not a problem, go for it. I'm much older than you, but my husband and are having blast in retirement. We are traveling almost constantly, and they days we stay home are rich and full. I love the freedom and haven't looked back.
