Well-done article. The middle ground seems to be losing ground in all arenas. We can't just accept people as they are, we are condemned if we don't remember their pronouns.

We can't allow a woman the choice of whether to terminate a pregnancy without careening into the area of infancitide at 9 months, we can't agree with complete and equal rights for LBGTQ without being labeled oppressive and totalitarian if we don't agree with pumping pre-pubescent kids full of hormones before they're even old enough to know what they want, we can't be non-religious without cultivating a rabid hatred of the religious.

This inability to find a middle ground based on common sense and respect for opposing beliefs will lead to our complete loss of freedoms. Then somebody else will decide how we're supposed to live and think.
