Unfortunately, autism is a serious disability for some. They aren't differently-abled, they are disabled. I so much wish my autistic grandson even knew what empathy or being late meant. He is 15, isn't potty trained, is nonverbal and doesn't even keep his clothes on. He has to be under lock and key 24/7 because he will escape and run off, who knows where? He can't be in a car without being strapped in, or he will open car doors, throw things at the driver, etc.
