On another note, have you ever thought that some of our ancestors lived longer than their descendants because they were stronger genetically? They had to survive an age without antibiotics, when typhoid fever killed people and tuberculosis led to an iron lung. Those who grew up in subsequent times, with medicine, prenatal care, etc., might have died in childhood without those interventions, because they were genetically weaker. Good article, but just some added food for thought.
