This is How I Choose to Respond to Covid

I won’t succumb to fear and despair

I’m getting my Covid booster two days after Christmas. I would have gotten it sooner but needed to wait several weeks past minor surgery.

This is a deadly disease and vaccinations are a wise decision. But fully vaccinated, boosted people have died, so I also wear a mask and take prophylactic medicines. I won’t mention those medicines because I would be accused of spreading Covid misinformation.

Arenas for open and diverse discussion are limited if your ideas don’t fit the dominant narrative, but you can examine studies and statistics yourself, then make an informed decision.

One thing I won’t do is succumb to fear and despair.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” (2 Timothy 1:7)

Life is full of challenges that diminish or strengthen us. We can choose our responses, succumbing to hysteria or living in hope.
