This is an age-old problem. People want free everything controlled by government and paid by taxes, then there are shortages and quality falls. I could go any day and get a blood test. I would just have to drop by the clinic. I agree with your idea of a mixture of privatization and universal health care available to those who need it. Any time you take the free enterprise element completely out, you end up with a mess.
