The only story I can think of to rival your venture is my brother’s. He drove across several states to purchase a machine that simulated the weightlessness of traveling in outer space. He hauled the simulator back home with the idea of selling “rides” to kids and having his own children earn money by operating it. The plan never materialized. The machine was good for a couple of birthday parties, but hefty regulations about who could operate it, when where and how, put a definite crimp in my brother’s ambitions. He ended up storing it for many years. I don’t know whether he still has it or not.
