That's so true, David. Any time people are together, whether in families, religious organizations, politics, etc., there will be contention and disagreement. I've gained more than I've lost through belonging to a church, primarily more opportunities to serve, lifelong friendship, and spiritual inspiration. This makes it all the more hurtful when selfish ambition and disregard for others enters the equation. Where there are people, there is conflict. But where there is God, there is strength to continue living a joy, purposeful life.
