That's so true about work friends. I, too, assumed I would have lunch once in a while with some of them, but that didn't happen for all the reasons you mentioned. But as far as your questions about socializing post retirement, I'm doing more of it now than I ever did because there's more time, now that I'm not raising kids or working. My husband and I have made friends through church and volunteering.
