That's her pen name. She is a tenured professor, married with a toddler. She used to write about sex, relationships, her abusive, mentally ill mother and her difficult childhood, she has written one book, self published, that was a flop, she's smart, beautiful, not religious and I've always liked her despite disagreeing with her worldview. Of course I don't know these things for sure, but I've gleaned them from many years of reading her work.
