Thanks for your thoughtful response. It’s hurtful to me when I see my gay friends, who are Christians, have adopted 3 children that needed homes and are wonderful parents, hurt by the church. Fortunately in our church they’ve found love and acceptance. But there will never be an environment where everybody is loving, accepting, or on the same page about issues. That’s just life and human nature. Jesus didn’t pay much attention to rules and regulations, and he hated religiosity, form over substance and lack of love. It was the religious leaders that he condemned the most.
