Thanks for sharing, Zoe. The decision to stay home does often come at the expense of the caregivers. I brought my mother to live with me the last two years of her life because she had always said she never wanted to go into a nursing home. It was hard and got harder as she became more debilitated. She passed away at 102. I don't regret it taking care of her in those final months, though.
