Thanks for reading, Dave. I actually tried hard with her and was very happy when they decided to get married. But she didn’t want him to communicate with his family once they were married. They did they to work things out, but she also decided on no sex, no kids and no affection. I found out all this later. I think, in looking back, that she must have suffered abuse growing up that had stunted her capacity to love. But hopefully she’s found love now, as has my son.
