Sometimes I see Christians refer to Trump as a David, but I wonder if he isn't more of a Saul; chosen for leadership, but unable to learn from his mistakes and humble himself. But who am I to say? I don't pretend to know the mind of God or his deep and hidden purposes.

I'm beyond concerned about our country, because freedom can't exist without integrity, faith, compassion, character. And these things have been diminishing for a long time.

I'm disappointed in our churches for not seeming to recognize what to me seems to be spiritual warfare for the very soul of our country.

So I am praying, continuing to trust, and to serve in the small arenas to which I'm called.
