Sounds like you were more of a Christian than a Christ follower. Because Christ followers know that people will never measure up, and that's why we turn to him. It's a very popular thing now to bash all Christians and call them all unfeeling and intolerant, because Christians, after all, are supposed to be perfect. Right? Anyway, I'm sorry you experienced such severe repercussions and loss of friendships. Christians aren't any different from anybody else. They're just sinners who know they need Jesus. I think you are really more mad at God than anything else, because life hasn't gone as you wanted it to.
