Our federal government collected $4.92 trillion in revenue in 2024, yet spent $6.75. Most of that revenue comes from individual taxpayers and small businesses. We can talk about the government providing more comprehensive health care all we want, but those increasing deficits are unsustainable. Currently someone earning an income of $150,000 a year will have a tax bill of slightly more than $46,000 a year. It seems absurd that our government can't provide services with that kind of revenue. And people clamor for more and more to covered with their health care. How is that sustainable?
