My son and his family have some kind of Doodle. But it doesn't shed, so my husband's not allergic to staying at their house. Last week I went with my women's club to a canine assistance place to find out about the service dogs they train. Mostly the dogs are golden retrievers, but there are a few Doodle mixes. When asked if they ever trained full-blooded poodles as assistance dogs, the trainer said no, because Poodles are too smart to make good assist dogs. They have a mind of their own when you're trying to get them to do something.
