My mother used to wake up round 3 a.m., she was such an insomniac. But she lived to 102, so I guess it didn't hurt anything. For myself, at 70, sleep is better if there is no alcohol. Sometimes melatonin and/or CBD oil help, sometimes not. Coffee in the late afternoon is off the table, too.
