Most politicians are egotistical and narcissistic. It's the nature of the beast. People also evolve and grow and change, hopefully. You did nothing wrong to write that book several decades ago. But I think you're giving Trump too much credit and power. There are many things that have happened in this country to place us where we are now, and Trump's three years are just the tip of the iceburg.
