Melodie, God didn't kill those children. A deranged person did.

In my faith, this world is not all there is to life and there is a creator who has given us free will to follow evil, muck up, be victims of evil, and endure hardship. If we were delivered from all these things, we would already be in our eternal heaven.

Jesus said evil is the prince of this world but evil will not always reign.

People didn't live forever in Jesus's day either, and the world was filled then with murder and death just as it is now. We have been put in charge of this earth, and we're doing an awful job. But through my faith, there is hope and redemption.

This world is a training ground for our spiritual growth, and our work is to love. But most of us fall short.

I realize nothing I say will make you a believer, because faith comes from God when we open our hearts to receive it.

If all of us on earth followed Jesus's teachings, there would be no war and no murder. But we don't, so there is.
