Medium has been this way since I joined in 2017. It's filled with glitches, pivots, and overhauls. However, I never blame the platform for a dip in earnings. How many writers actually make a living from writing? That's a tough gig, and we have an opportunity here to put our work out there to a readky-made audience.

If people want more money than they earn on Medium, I'd recommend a gig at McDonald's. They pay better. However, if people are passionate about writing and want a platform that they don't have to build from scratch by creating their own website, this is a great place to be. My best advice is to just go with the flow and have fun, but seek your income elsewhere.
