I've never seen such a divide in this country with everyone so intolerant of compromise and middle ground that they would rather secede and break up our country than work things out. I've mainly heard from people in blue states wanting to secede, even though Democrats are in power both in Congress and the White House. Short of eliminating one political party entirely and turning this into a dictatorship, I can't see any way forward without some unity.
