I've been through many changes at Medium, and they always come with glitches that need ironing out. However, the elimination of writer's name with the article is a huge encumbrance to building community and supporting writers we like. Additonally, elimination of curation and/or curation tags removes some incentive and is de-motivating. Change is good when it moves an organization forward, but change for change sake can be detrimental. Drastic measures to produce desired outcomes that are not in line with what customers want will ultimately not work.
