It's interesting to oberve how standards of beauty change over time. For instance, Renoir paintings of nudes depict women who are somewhat chubby in the middle. But in the 1800's, I guess women aspired to a Scarlett O'Hara waist, even if they couldn't breathe in the corsets. When I see pictures of models now, behing heavy with humongous bottoms seems to be the fad.
