Interesting information and perspective! I hate the ER because of the long waits. The emergency room has come in handy in a couple of instances for my family, though. My sister went there when she was having a stroke and my son took his daughter there when she fell through a glass table and had a life-threatening injury. But I agree with you, people should stop using the ER for normal health care!
