Interesting and well-written article. Your mention of Cameroon reminded me of a customer I used to work with from that country. His father had four wives. I asked him if he was going to marry more than one wife, and he said, "No! Too much trouble!" But that's an aside that has nothing to do with your article. I believe Kamala will win, and that she will, as Democrats always have in recent history, garner most of the black vote.

The Republicans totally picked the wrong candidate for this race. Why on earth did they nominate Donald Trump? It's unfathomable.

Kamala will most likely win, and then if enough of the House and Senate candidates follow on her coattails to give all three branches of government to Democrats, she will begin to enact those policies she has supported: Transgender medical treatments for minors included in health insurance, taxation of capital gains at a much higher rate, a federal law making abortion legal, a move to increase Supreme Court members so the conservative members can't prevail on any issue, a disinformation and misinformation committee to clamp down on speech deemed harmful or misleading, a gun buy-back program, etc.

Whether these policies are good or bad depends on a person's perspective. Whether they are good or bad for Blacks also depends on a person's perspective.

Maybe the best thing for our government has nothing to do with which person wins. Maybe the best thing would be a citizenry that is educated, ethical, civil, respectful, generous, and unwilling to demonize anyone because of race, party affiliation, or gender.
