In many other countries, generations live together their whole lives. There’s nothing wrong with it. As the parent, my observations are from the other end of the spectrum. Our kids not only lived with us while they were waiting for their house to close, we bought the house for them. They have made the payments and all associated expenses, but couldn’t qualify for a loan because my son had started his own business and didn’t have enough of a credit record. Most parents want their kids to succeed and want to help out as much as possible. It sound like you appreciate your parents, and I think that’s great.
