I'm so sorry about your estrangement because that is a most difficult thing, to be estranged from our children. And it's not good for them either, because they are living their lives in bitterness and resentment rather than the forgiveness that sets us free. I take heart from a quote I read recently, that God doesn't always act quickly, but sometimes he acts suddenly. I pray that after your many years of suffering this loss, that God will act suddenly to restore the relationship, both for your sake and your child's.
