If I had to talk to 5 people a day in person I'd be planning lunches out and dinner parties all the time just to fill that quota. I might as well go back to work. There wouldn't be time to write, read, exercise, or get things done around the house. It would send me over the edge. I've got a feeling the article you cited didn't count texting and phone conversations, which would be a lot easier way to interact with that many people.
