I wouldn't send my mother to the hospital when her time was near, even though the hired caregiver wanted me to. She was four days short of her 102 birthday with dementia, in diapers and unable to get our of bed. She died peacefully in my house, since I had moved her in with me instead of putting her in a nursing home. I don't believe in keeping people alive when there's no quality of life.
