I think the distribution of water which has gotten so much publicity is silly. I don't know enough about the General Assembly taking more control of elections to comment intelligently on that. And I think it's condescending to believe that Blacks are somehow unable to obtain voter ID's.
Everyone needs an ID to get on an airplane, and the airports, especially the Atlanta airport, are filled with a diverse group of people. Surely some sort of compromise could ensure that no one is denied the right to vote but that everyone who votes is able to identify themselves.
Maybe we could examine voter laws in other countries that aren't experiencing so much controversy with their elections and adjust our voting laws accordingly.
