I say don’t ditch the baby with the bathwater, to use an old cliche. Keep both the prayer and the action. Charles Stanley in one of his sermons said “Pray and pray and pray as if everything is up to God, but act and act and act as if everything is up to you.” Good Christians don’t sit on their heels waiting for God. They use their God-given abilities and brains to employ every means available to get better, reach a goal, make the most of life, etc. That’s why God gave us reason and abilities.
