I really liked your article, Anthony, and appreciate your faith and all you’re doing to help men become better husbands and spiritual leaders. I believe Jesus wants primarily for us to love God and our fellow human beings and to have faith, which I’m sure you believe too, since Jesus says all the laws of the prophets hinge on this. Other regulations or stipulations reflective of a particular culture or time should be examined in light of this primary command. It was difficult for converted Jews to dispense with Mosaic laws such as requirements for circumcision until Paul made his impassioned speech at their council meeting, but a compromise was reached on sticking with some basic tenets such as honoring the sanctity of marriage.
I love Paul’s teachings and read his letters over and over again, but I do believe that in this day and time God raises some women to be in positions of leadership. Anyway, I believe in our community of faith there is much room for varying opinions and dissension as evidenced by the multitude of denominations available to us, and this is a good thing. If we were all exactly alike, it would be much easier to rise to the level of love God calls us to, so maybe he wants us to develop our spiritual muscles by trying to love those who are different or those who disagree. Hence, the diversity.
Anyway, thanks for posting and as always, God bless you!
