I lost about 500, and didn't know about this bot purge until I saw it on Facebook. Then I read the comments and there was glowing praise about this "much needed" move.

But I prefer to purge my own list, if I'm so inclined. I mean, who cares, and how do I know they didn't ditch somebody who plans on reading my work in the future?

What's all this with people being so obsessed with bots, anyway? People keep saying "keep it authentic." Well maybe authentic for me doesn't mean the same thing as it does for them.
