I have never had any sense of direction and used to get lost practically every time I left the house. After driving around for an hour, my kids would moan from the back seat, "MOM! Are you lost again?"

Once when my husband said he needed a nap and asked me to take over the driving on our way back from a vacation, he woke later to discover we had gone in a complete circle and were right at the same McDonald's where we had switched drivers.

This is why I rejoice to have GPS. I use it to go everywhere, even places I've been many times. That's my reality. But I'm sure it's scary to have the directional gift, and then to suddenly find yourself lost at night.
