I found that giving money away helped me fixate on it less. Sounds crazy, doesn’t it? I started giving away more, to people who needed it and causes that used it well. I wasn’t foolish, but I tried to be generous. This led me to focus less on what I wanted and a surprising thing happened. The wants began to diminish. As the wants diminished, the money increased. This view of money, as a tool for good, eliminates the unhappy perspective that no amount is ever enough.
