I enjoyed your thoughtful essay. And I’ve been having many of your same thoughrs as far as returning to big organized churches versus small groups of Jesus followers who meet in homes and truly seek him. One thing I don’t agree with is your broad brush painting of all Christians as Trump supporting evangelicals. My church has come down as decidedly the opposite. I think church should get out of politics altogether and stop trying to influemce people through legislating our own moral code into law. Jesus was not about changing the law. He was about changing hearts and minds through love and service. Keep loving Jesus and seeking his voice in scripture and in your heart. He will speak and guide.
