I can relate, Ruby. It's hard to make friends. I thought my friends at work would remain friends but they didn't. I've invited some of our neighbors over and that never went anywhere. Joined a Zumba group right after retiring and not one single friend resulted from that. But hang in there and keep being active doing things you like. Take chances calling people up and having them over. Step out of your comfort zone. Eventually you'll find yourself surrounded by friends.
