I bet your wife does a wonderful job! People who place rules over relationship are doing exactly what the Pharisees did, and that has never seemed to be Jesus' message. I think even Paul didn't mean this to be an applicable regulation throughout all time, especially if you go back to the original languages, and to his words in other writings.

I use The Message Bible, and it resonates a lot more, especially regarding difficult passages. Tell your wife I think she's awesome!
